Mineola High School “Computeers” help local senior citizens navigate technology — Syosset Technology news

Mineola High School learners are making a difference in the community by sharing their technology expertise with local senior citizens through the school’s “Computeers” program. Part of the Mineola High School Student Service Center, the program brings students and seniors together for monthly sessions where learners provide one-on-one assistance with personal devices, including smartphones, tablets and laptops. Whether troubleshooting a device, learning new features or gaining confidence with everyday technology, participants receive personalized support from the student volunteers. The free program gives students an opportunity to serve their community while helping seniors stay connected and comfortable in an increasingly digital world. Community members interested in attending a future “Computeers” session are encouraged to contact the Mineola High School Student Service Center at (516) 237-2614.
